Case Study: Berkeley Catering

Brief.
Berkeley Catering are a London-based full-service caterer with over 20 years of experience delivering corporate and private events across the capital.
As a new client, they brought me in to create a full library of food photography for their updated website ordering platform - covering 250 dishes across five key categories.
While the brief called for clean and neutral imagery, the client also wanted it captured in my signature house style: vibrant, high-contrast, and eye-catching, with a focus on making every dish look as appealing online as it would in person.
Approach.
I proposed a four-day shoot schedule. I led the food photography with support one of their kitchen team as my assistant along with Berkeley’s Executive Chef, and their 40-person kitchen team who ensured a seamless flow of dishes from prep to plate.
We used a neutral set and consistent plating throughout, but introduced contrast through lighting, colour, and consistant angles across categories -bringing clarity and vibrancy to each image while staying true to the brand’s clean visual language.
Alongside the product photography, we also shot a series of lifestyle-led images, including groupings, ingredient details, and light-touch interaction scenes to give the food greater context and warmth.
The result was a complete, on-brand visual toolkit: 250 polished, web-ready images for their online ordering platform, plus creative content to support wider digital marketing and sales communications.
