Case Study: Langham Foods
Brief.
Langham Foods are a West London-based bakery that specalises in producing artisan sausage and vegan sausage rolls to wholesale customers across 200 cafes and coffee shops.
As a long-established business run with a fresh team from 2020, the two owners reached out to me wanting food photography of their product range, which would really showcase their love for their brand, and why they do it.
After kicking the project off with a discovery call to learn about their brand, business-wide aspirations, and product range - I pitched a concept of two shooting sessions; one food photography shoot in-studio and another on-location at their bakery.
Approach.
Session one was captured in-studio, with the brief to produce BBC Good Food-inspired, food photography heroes, archival content for general use, and group hero imagery showing their whole range, as well as each range of meat, and non-meat rolls.
This was brought together via my creative art direction, prop hire, a couple of bespoke aged wooden tabletops that I produced for the shoot, and a good use of colour theory to separate the images into three distinct categories within their food photography.
Session two was captured during a morning on-location at their bakery; my concept for the location shoot was to capture reportage content of the team baking, in addition to contextual portraiture of the team that make it happen; inc. the two business partners, their Mum, and a friend - adding their faces to the front of the business.
As part of an updated look and their soft rebrand, this content is being used throughout their website, across digital, and in their sales pitches as they grow.
