Case Study: What's For Pud?

Brief.

What’s for Pud are a SOHO London-based dessert spot specialising in indulgent puddings and seasonal treats.

They reached out to me, wanting a food photographer to capture four core menu items, plus a seasonal mango feature, specifically for their Deliveroo storefront and in-store screens.

I also included more creative, lifestyle-led food photography to support their social and promotional content. The goal was to build a visually cohesive gallery that’s both platform-ready and mood-setting - ideal for digital menus and brand storytelling.

Approach.

I began with a brief call to align on their brand tone, and the look they wanted to achieve; clean but indulgent, with a fresh seasonal twist. I pitched a half-day food photography session to cover their four staple puddings, the seasonal mango dish, and several styled lifestyle shots.

With years of experience in food photography, I knew exactly how to bring out the richness, texture, and character of each dessert.

We shot on-site before the official launch date, using a soft studio lighting to capture glossy sauces, creamy layers, in a way that felt inviting and on-brand.

The session combined clean menu photography with more expressive, lifestyle-led images to give the client a flexible set of assets for both product listings and broader visual storytelling.
