Case Study: Kokodoo

Brief.
Kokodoo are a family-run, award-winning Korean fried chicken concept in London, originating from a popular food truck and now with multiple franchised outlets in Shoreditch, Camberwell, Wimbledon, and a soon-to-be-opened flagship store in Fulham.
As a returning client, they brought me back as their food photographer to update and expand their food photography library for Deliveroo and to produce creative content for thier digital marketing.
The goal was to capture a fresh set of images that reflected the quality and consistency of their menu - while keeping the look clean, craveable, on-brand and app-ready.
Approach.
Following a catch-up to review their latest menu additions and brand updates, I pitched a 1 day and a follow up 1/2 day session to shoot all 30 of their menu items, as well as more creative lifestyle food photography imagery for use in digital marketing and in-venue.
With my experience as a food photographer for restaurants to established brands, I focused on highlighting texture, richness, and variety. We shot on-site at their central kitchen with my studio lighting to create a consistent look across each scene.
Styling was kept true to their in-store presentation, with scenes created to best complement their end-usage.
The final result was a bold, polished image set that helped Kokodoo reinforce its position across delivery platforms while staying true to its roots in Korean street food.
