Case Study: Nina & Dean - Menu Food Photography

Brief.
After our last session together, Nina & Dean Coffee invited me back for a follow-up menu food photography session to capture their updated packaging, new menu items, and seasonal autumn & winter items.
The use of their food photography was for Deliveroo, Uber Eats, and their own ordering app. The aim was to create seasonal menu photography that remained on-brand and felt warm and inviting, showcasing their packaging. For this, I suggested we do a 1/2 day menu food photography session, as this would be enough time to cover their brief.
Approach.
Before attending, I provided the client with my menu food photography cleint guidelines, that gives them helpful pointers on how to prepare for our session, as well as advising on tableware props.
I planned the 1/2 day session to place the majority of our time on each dish, giving small food styling notes to the kitchen team to create the most impact.
I lit the scenes in my house style of creating contrast and form in the food, whilst highlighting the texture and tone of the scenes with my food photography backgrounds and the client’s props.
We wrapped the session on a hero banner image that is a customer's first visual of their business when searching on apps.
The client was really happy with how the content turned out and it’s great to see how well it’s going for them.
Quality food photography and sharp menu photography don’t need days. A well-planned half-day session can give you a versatile, high-impact image library that elevates your presence on Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Hungry Panda, If you’re launching a menu, rebranding, or want delivery images that convert more orders, I’d love to help bring that vision to life.
