Case Study: Nina & Dean - Lifestyle

 

Brief.

Off the back off a successful menu food photography shoot, the co-owners at coffee shop, Nina & Dean Coffee reached out to me for a follow-up photography session.

For this brief, they wanted me to capture lifestyle food photography - telling the story of who they are, what they do, and to also expand the aesthetic of our initial session.

The usage of their content would primarily be for Instagram, Google My Business, and TripAdvisor.

 

Approach.

During the booking process, I put together a quick lifestyle food photography package that covered reportage imagery of the team making popular drinks and interacting with customers - preparing orders and engaging with them. It also included lifestyle food and drinks pairings, and interior imagery.

I created a short session schedule for us to work from and shared a client mood board for us to collaborate on. The client enthusiastically sourced a collection of props to use during our lifestyle food and drinks pairings. so

On the lifestyle food photography, session we started by capturing reportage imagery, and lead into food and drink pairings - bringing in a props, and lifestyle elements to tell smaller stories as part of their branded lifestyle food photography session . The session was wrapped by capturing light and bright interior photography of the cute space.

To light the space, I created a daylight feeling with a large studio light from the same position as the large windows.

The edited lifestyle food photography content was delivered the client within 72-hours, and they were very pleased with the results. It’s great to see it already in use across all of their touchpoints.
