Case Study: Axis Coffee

Brief.

Axis Coffee are a newly opened independent coffee shop in London, launching into a competitive local market.

They brought me in ahead of opening to create a foundational set of coffeeshop food photography that could be used immediately across Google, social, and early marketing touchpoints.

The imagery needed to present Axis as confident, considered, and established from day one. The brief focused on producing a balanced image library that introduced the venue, communicated atmosphere, and gave potential customers a clear sense of what to expect before visiting.

Approach.

I structured the session to capture the space and menu in a calm, deliberate way, building a usable image library.

The interior was photographed outside of opening hours to show layout, light, and detail without distraction. This established a clear visual baseline for listings and maps, helping the space read immediately and confidently online.

Alongside the interiors, I photographed a small selection of key menu items and lifestyle group scenes to introduce the food within the context of the space. The focus was on clarity and approachability - showing how the food and drinks are experienced day to day, rather than pushing a campaign aesthetic.

The resulting and food photography gave Axis Coffee a cohesive launch-ready image set that supports discovery, first impressions, and early footfall. It provides a clear visual foundation the business can build on as it grows.
