Case Study: COYA City

Brief.
COYA City is a stylish Peruvian restaurant in the heart of London’s Square Mile, known for its bold dishes and vibrant terrace space.
The team brought me in for a follow-up 6-hour shoot to capture a mix of in-venue food photography and lifestyle-led content outdoors.
The focus was on creating a natural, engaging set of images showcasing their signature dishes, atmosphere, and moments of interaction - shot for use across digital marketing, social media, and press.
Approach.
The shoot was split between the restaurant interior and terrace. Indoors, I focused on capturing clean, detail-rich food photography to showcase the context of the space, whilst creating compositions with the food and drinks parings that felt editorial and brand-aligned.
Outside, we styled small groupings of dishes and used COYA’s team members as talent - introducing light-touch interaction like glasses being raised or dishes passed, to bring a human element to the scene.
Using studio strobes, I lit it be be soft, yet directional and warm with enough contrast to make the food stand in the space.
The result was a warm, cohesive image library that balanced lifestyle and food photography to reflect the elevated feeling of dining at COYA City.
