Case Study: Ciaciú Pasta Bar
Brief.
Ciaciú Pasta Bar Covent Garden is a delivery-led pasta concept operating from the Buns & Buns Collective, owned by REEF Technology.
As a repeat client, they brought me in to produce platform-ready food photography for one of their multi-brand concepts, Ciaciú. The menu was deliberately tight, designed for fast ordering and clear value communication across Deliveroo and other ordering platforms.
The requirement was focused and outcome-led. Ciaciú needed food photography that read instantly at thumbnail size, clearly differentiated the brand from the other concepts photographed that day, and could be deployed immediately across delivery platforms - ensuring portion, texture, and value were immediately understood in a delivery-first environment.
Approach.
I treated Ciaciú Pasta Bar as its own contained system within a wider multi-brand shoot, ensuring the food photography retained a clear and independent identity despite being produced alongside other concepts on the same day.
The visual structure was held consistently throughout the session, with composition and emphasis adjusted to suit Ciaciú’s menu and positioning. This allowed the imagery to feel distinct while remaining efficient and repeatable within a shared production setup.
Because the menu was deliberately tight, pacing was controlled. Dishes were brought to set at measured intervals to maintain consistency and quality, with a dedicated hero banner image produced to anchor Ciaciú’s presence across delivery platforms.
The resulting food photography functions as a clean, platform-optimised image library, ready for immediate deployment. It supports fast decision-making on delivery apps and provides a scalable visual system that can be extended easily as the menu evolves.
