Case Study: Ayelet's Catering

Brief.
Ayelet’s Catering is a London-based kosher deli and event caterer inspired by the flavours of Israel.
They hired me as their food photographer to shoot the new Spring menu over a full day.
The brief was to create a balanced mix of clean menu shots for catalogues and digital marketing, alongside more creative, lifestyle-led food photography, featuring key dishes, standout ingredients, and hands-on interaction to bring the food to life.
Approach.
We started with a kick-off call to define the Spring collection, select hero dishes, and plan our ingredients to feature in the editorial food photography imagery.
Drawing on my experience as a food photographer, I planned a hybrid shoot that blended structured menu captures with dynamic lifestyle moments.
I created soft, yet directional studio lighting onto their brand pink marble, to emphasise vibrance, freshness, texture, and colour without overpowering the dishes.
The result was a cohesive set of polished menu and lifestyle images that elevated Ayelet’s Spring menu for their catalogues, digital marketing, and storytelling platforms.
