Case Study: Raphia
Brief.
Originally from Morrocco and based in North-West London, company owner Zineb of Raphia is a chocolatier who produces some of the best hand-crafted patisserie and truffles that are inspired by the experiences and flavours of her homeland.
Zineb approached me, looking for a food photographer who specialises in capturing both food and commercial food photography; to work with her as part of an on-going retainer. The brief was to capture seasonal content of her ever-growing range of treats - for use across her website, brochures, on social media, and as part of a recent re-brand with a new photographic visual identity, in collaboration with Studio Noel.
Approach.
Using an extensive selection of props, and bespoke backgrounds, we work together on a seasonal basis and for the re-brand to capture contextualized food photography of her handcrafted patisserie; seasonal heroes, and content focussed on featured ingredients.
With so many of her chocolates coming not only as individuals but pairings and in gifting boxes - many are captured as detailed close-ups, and in their boxes - with a large focus on produced studio lifestyle scenes and careful art direction to give a real feeling of her homeland, Morocco.
